Finally delving into the Pinky story epilogue, something that'll take a couple comics to tell still. All of my watchers who liked the "evil" Camaro character in my story and wanted to see a story focused on him, today is your lucky day. ^^ I love prequels don't you? They almost breath new life back into old material you've seen to death already by giving you new perspectives and back-story to keep in mind as you revisit the old story again.

I've been SO excited to finally reveal the big twist on the Camaro's character, hopefully what you see in this comic IS a surprise and the reveal didn't fall flat on it's ass though. I kinda wanted to 'hint' that perhaps he wasn't pure evil with his expressions at the very end of 'Farewell Pinky' but hopefully I didn't make this obvious. I decided for sure about 1/4 way into drawing Farewell Pinky that I wanted to take Camaro into this direction, no one really likes a one dimensional character even if it's a villain, and in my experience villains are even more likeable when they're sympathetic or misunderstood. Camaro never really was a villain though, to be honest, was he? It's all a matter of perspective really, but honestly he was just part of the nature of BLT's universe... or at least he was.

So we finally get to see the 'old timer' who I featured in a concept art what seems like almost a year ago! 6.6; Maybe you're noticing that he and our Camaro look kinda similar are you? Well that's because they're both Camaros. The old guy being as old a 1974, while Camaro is the new 1985 model, not that big of an age gap honestly.. but consider that in car years. I thought Camaro would find the old car more influential if he was in fact an older model of himself, perhaps almost making Camaro see himself in the old timer, and see it as a possible future he could fall into if he made the same mistakes..

What do I want you to take out of this story exactly? Well it's meant to reveal that Camaro actually was, and deep down still is, a relatively friendly car. Who until even being flattered doesn't even seem to notice how flashy he is. When he meets the older Camaro he reacts kindly, showing that he originally had no superiority complex. You could almost applaud the young guy for listening to an elder and heeding his advice, so few seem to do that, it's just a shame that the elder he happened to meet was bitter old car with much to vent rant and rave about, obliviously ordering out misleading advice fueled by his own bitter rough life.

The old timer scares and intimidates the Camaro, painting a bleak picture of the world for him before he even ever gets to experience it for himself. In an effort to heed the old man's warnings and as a self-defense reflex from his fear, he builds up a false egotistical self-assured and hollowly confident personality for himself to protect himself form all the other cars out there who wanna take his new masters away from him.

====================(Epilogue To Be Continued)=====

NOTES:

:bulletblue: Now I didn't attempt to give Camaro a 3 dimensional personality at the cost of creating another 1 dimensional character to 'villainize him.' The old Camaro can be seen as a sympathetic character in his own right. A car, aged much too quickly by a life in the fast lane and poor maintenance. It's a sad vicious cycle, that in his story he's revealed to be so similar to Pinky. But in the process of trying to save his Camaro from his fate, turns him into the very Mini-van that evidently treated him badly.

I have him coughing and hacking a lot during the comic, partly to enhance the feeling of him being old and broken down. Though in what he says, it's hinted at the more technical problem that I had in mind which is that he has carburetor problems which causes him to run rough and sputter (or cough) as well as run rich which is why he has such a big black exhaust plume.

:bulletred: The owner of the car lot, Mr. Henderson, I based off of my favorite sock image of your typical slime car salesman: thebruisedego.files.wordpress.… his name is also a reference to Mr. Hendershock, the asshole boss at the Dixieboy Truck Stop in the movie "Maximum Overdrive." There's no connection between those two things.. I just like that name. XD

:bulletpink: The last panel is a remake with slightly improved art style and ret-conned details of the panel seen in "Pinky's Memories Part 2."

Oh wow! No wonder he decided to be such a D*** to Pinky! Still doesn't change my opinion of how he treated her! I hope Karma comes and bites him! The classics always live on while the fads and minivans go to die!
