Once took a Texan to a wedding
Once took a Texan to a wedding
He kept forgetting, his loneliness letting
His thoughts turn to home and we turned

I took a man to a graveyard
I beg your pardon, it's quite hard enough
Just living with the stuff I have learned

I've been LOOKING for a chance to use this song, ever since I heard it in FO:NW! XD [link]

Happy Holidays everyone, sorry this is a day late, I was just too tired to work on this yesterday.

I've had some pretty good luck lately with these Worthless cars pictures, seems like by the time I start drawing a different car people start messaging me telling me they'd like to see said-car. I know a few people have asked me to draw the Wedding car and the Hearse so here you are. The two are sharing some touched glances as they notice (because of the graphic on the sign) they're underneath the mistletoe. ^//^ This is my contribution to the 'under the mistletoe' series that's going around.. started by Ravenpuff I think..

I'm aware that I'm taking some liberties with the characters here, making them in love and all. But it was just too cute of an idea to pass up! It's beautiful in the sense that in function, them being in love is quite odd. You wouldn't think of a limo associated with happiness and life would see anything in a hearse associated with sadness and death.. they're like polar opposites. But to them they're cars, their functions don't matter to them. :) It's also kind of romantically tragically sweet that they both end up in the same place and die together.. almost like some Romeo and Juliet type stuff going on there.

So this is my own idea of these character's back-story. They belonged to a company that supplied luxury chauffeur service and rental. Seeing as how they're both essentially limos and are piled together at Ernie's I assumed they came in together. So as for my estimated reason they were wrecked? I can only assume some big truck or something ran off the road in front of the company and plowed into them parked out front.. I never really associated their lyrics in the song referring to how they wrecked.

So yeah, I hope you enjoy the picture, and don't worry I'm not gonna go crazy and make some big romance series with these two. I think one picture says enough.

---(Extra Juicy Details)---------

:bulletblue:Now these characters are very interesting in the fact of how they appear in the song. I keep feeling like their part in the music segment has this mush DEEPER symbolism behind it but I just don't know what it is! That's what makes it so interesting and mysterious. These characters are the only ones crushed together, both of their lyrics are matched with almost identical visuals as well as music chords.

On top of that both of these cars have strong symbolism in their purpose. One representing the power of love and marriage, the other end of life and death. I can't help but see the fact they're mirroring each other and are crushed together saying something about these two aspects being related somehow... I just can't put my finger on it though. :/

:bulletblue: I used a slightly sharper shading method with this, adding much darker shading in the dark-spots.. let me know if you like it more or less. :)

:bulletblue:You know it's kinda frustrating, it's like ever since making Owen and Plink I see them in every couple I've made after them! I seriously saw O and P in these two, the girl being narrow and tall, the boy being kinda stubby and wide.. GAH! It's like I'm doomed to make the same characters forever. :cries:

:bulletblue: The Hearse kinda has somewhat of a derp face, it doesn't look quite right, but honestly I have NO idea what to do to fix that. I really don't think it's fixable, I think it's just an illusion because of how wide-set his eyes car. : /

:bulletblue: These characters were petty fun to 'restore' since in the movie they're pretty totaled and wrecked. It was this fact that mostly made me draw them when they were new. I had another idea for this with them in Ernie's instead. They're piled on-top of each-other and a mistletoe flies out from a trash-can next to them full of thrown out Christmas supplies and sticks itself on some junk above them. They're looking at each other like this picture.. just vertically instead. I thought it had a powerful emotion to it, them being in love and happy about being under the mistletoe despite being wrecked up and on death-row. :' )

*EDIT* I went ahead and drew that picture: [link] *

A bit ago I started writing a fic about the Limo (though I'll do the Hearse's POV eventually) partially inspired by this pic and GREATLY inspired by TFED as a whole
