Teireia of the Shalliea

Well here we go, my first Scymanteria OC. I've decided I'm going to attempt making the characters I've used thus far as examples into actual OCs. I mean why not right? There's nothing wrong with them so why not use them?

This is my new OC from the Shalliea clan, her name is Taireia (t-air-ee-ah). You probably will all recognize her as the novice recruit being dazzled by her assigned guru, Marakinesis Master Oarine (or-in) in this picture [link] While everything is still in early stages, both with her and the Shalliea as a whole I've got a simple bio compiled here for her.

Taireia is a new member to the Shalliea clan, she's yet to be officially sworn in until her probation period expires. During this period new recruits are expected to either take to the clan or find they aren't interested and leave. This is period is visually seen as the time it takes for one's body color to change to the arctic 'blue' of the older permanent members. When not training with master Oarine or in meditation, Taireia takes care of the gardens the clan uses for food supply located deep inside the icy caverns. She does this under supervision of course for now, being new.

Taireia used to be a botanist before joining the Shalliea, studying various plant-life in attempts to create organic medicines, fuels, and beauty/regenerating products. Educated in bio-chemistry and genetics Taireia's also responsible for creating quite a few new hybrids of plants and combining traits from different species into one or changing these traits on a genetic level to create new by-products. One of her major endeavors had been work on building organic power cells using genetically altered plant material which created and stored energy from converted sunlight.

She became involved with the Shalliea after coming across one of their recruitment groups on the outskirts of town, the dazzling light displays of combustible natural minerals and Mara being manipulated with telekinesis caught her eye and lead to her interest in learning more about the group. After speaking with the groups elder leader she discovered how the Shalliea offered mental and physical enlightenment to anyone interested and willing to obtain it, no strings attached.

Being interested in the natural world and all it's physical properties Taireia found herself overwhelmed by curiosity. After a lot of contemplation she packed her bags and joined the next recruitment group on their way back to the Shalliea's arctic hideaway.
