FIRST OFF - I was keeping this in mind as I drew it, I dont mean to offend anyone who is or has a relative that is in the Marines either in the past or in Iraq. This is simply a comparison.

Ok, this is a strange idea eh? I don't know why I thought to draw this. But I always thought it would be cool to do a comparison of Irk's Elite soldiers and the good old US or A's elites, the Marine. Elite soldiers differ on their role in different countries. The sole purpose of of elites in some countries is solely in the defense and guarding of the homeland. Others are simply soldiers with more advanced training and access to more advanced weaponry. In the US, Marines are soldiers that can perform on all types of situations land, air, and sea. They are also used to guard important areas in the homeland, most notably, the White house.

I personally believe Irk's Elite serve the same purpose as the Marines. It's obvious by their gear that they can be deployed in a wide range of environments most notable is what appears to be a respiratory mask. I think Sanoon's Irken Invasion story also inspired this. Because these would be the two duking it out in an invasion.

First off, I'm no military expert. If there are any people that know more about the Marine corps and see errors in what I said above don't kill me -_-. Also I'm aware that this is not a battle ready marine, I just really wanted to draw one in dress uniform.
